We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former U.S. Kay Hagan. Our condolences to the her friends, family, and former staff - many of whom are members of NCDC and served the state and Senator in DC and NC.

Former US Senator Kay Hagan dead at 66 after three-year battle with encephalitis Former U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, a Democrat from North Carolina, died after a battle with encephalitis. Hagan served a single term after beating Elizabeth Dole. She lost to Republican Thom Tillis in 2014.
