Looking for a unique volunteer opportunity?

The Armed Forces Host Association (AFHA) is recruiting. With PCS season soon underway, we are looking for ID card holders to contribute to our organization.

The primary function of AFHA is to provide hard copy welcome packets to Pentagon newcomers. We also provide free information about things to do in the region, up and down the Eastern seaboard, and family supports. Other resources include; how to find your way around the Pentagon, Pentagon food court and services information and Pentagon Points of Interest for those working in (or visiting) the building, to name a few.

Volunteers need to be current DOD ID card holders which can include active duty spouses, retirees, and retiree spouses. Your Service Member does not have to be assigned to the Pentagon for you to volunteer.

All volunteers go through a training period and each shift consists of at least two volunteers. The volunteer commitment is two five hour shifts per calendar month.
