Today, DCHA, the DC's Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), nonprofit developer Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), and Barry Farm community members celebrated the groundbreaking of Hillsdale Flats Phase I.

This site will be the third new construction property in the multi-phase redevelopment of the Barry Farm-Hillsdale community in DC’s historic Anacostia neighborhood.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Hillsdale Flats Phase 1 is happening this Wednesday, June 3!

There will be 90 new, fully affordable units built in Phase I. This is the third new construction project in the historic Barry Farm community.

Recently, DCHA staff volunteered with A Wider Circle during their Home Reimagined event to transform homes across the DMV area.

The volunteers spent the day giving each home a fresh look by bringing in new furniture, fixtures, and decorations.
