Next Generation Action Network, President Marcus Hughes petitions the Chair of DC Board of Elections (DCBOE), Gary Thompson, to deliver on upholding and preserving the integrity of the “Fair Elections Program.”
Washington, DC, November 4, 2022– (NGAN-DMV) Next Generation Action Network, President Marcus Hughes petitions Chair of DC Board of Elections (DCBOE), Gary Thompson, to deliver on upholding and preserving the integrity of the “Fair Elections Program.” Even if it causes candidates to withdraw their candidacy or honor the demand of resignation by the people to any incumbent who violates the public trust by taking advantage of the “Fair Elections” funding.
President Hughes Emphasizes:
“In the exercise of high authority, we must separate ourselves from influence, intimidation, or any nuances at all costs in the name of justice. The eyes of democracy are watching and more specifically, American voters regionally and nationwide are watching the place where all roads of advocacy lead to; The District of Columbia. Chairman Gary is under the microscope and the outcome of this hearing will either protect the integrity of the Fair Elections Program or allow ruled CFO(Office of Campaign & Finance) violators to waste taxpayer’s dollars.”

On November 4, 2022, the DCBOE will hold an “expedited” Appeal Hearing on the Campaign Finance Office ruling in the matter of At-Large Independent Candidate Elissa Silverman that is currently in violation of DC Official Code 1-1163.33(f)(d)(5). Eric Goulet, the Ward 3 Democratic Primary challenger, who is a victim of Silverman’s misuse of Fair Elections funding stated, “Based on Silverman’s stunning confession of illegal campaign coordination in her own brief, I am joining others who have called on her to drop out of the At-Large Council race, and I am renewing my call for the Federal United States Attorney Office to investigate and restore the Integrity of DC elections.”
(NGAN-DMV) stands in Solidarity with every affiliated and unaffiliated party as a united front to end manipulating the Fair Elections Program by putting “Fairness & Integrity” back into “Fair Elections” so future generations may rise to serve without manipulation or intimidation. Join us as WE STAND with top DC Community Leaders and Allies on November 4, 2022, at 4 pm at 1015 Half Street SE, Washington, DC 20003.
