Step Inside ANTH 108 "Introduction to Archaeology" with Dr. Laura Masur! Students learn how archeologists ask questions, use varied scientific methods, and create narratives about the past. Reaching back to our existence as hunters and gatherers and the transition to city life, this course explores how humans have modified plant and animal life through domestication. What are the perils of “settling down” ? How has over-exploitation caused the demise of some early civilizations while others learned from their mistakes.

Step Inside Our Classrooms: ANTH 324 "Cultural Heritage of Native America" is led by Dr. Laura Masur, Assistant Professor of Anthropology. During this class session, student groups applied their knowledge of Native American culture to create K-8 lesson plans that would inform and engage young learners.
