Providing scholarships to HBCU students and mentoring opportunities. ®️ How many bright minds have been turned away from their dreams?

The Williams-Franklin Foundation (WFF) is a non-profit, Washington, DC based organization whose mission is to eradicate the financial limitations that prevent access to higher education and civil leadership. The WFF was founded by Howard University (HU) alumni LaShelle Williams-Franklin (1996) and Dwight Franklin (1994) in 2014. Through their foundation, the WFF provides scholarships and programs

This is what impact looks like in real time 📊

Each application represents a student working toward something bigger. Each scholarship represents a moment where something kept moving forward instead of stopping.

This is why we do it 🎓 Behind every event, every partnership, and every donation are students working toward something bigger. Through scholarships, mentorship, and access to new opportunities, WFF is helping HBCU students move forward, and your support is what makes that possible.

Thank you to the students who shared their stories, and to everyone who continues to invest in their futures!

We are a month away! ⛳💙

The WFF Golf Tournament returns June 15, 2026 at Lakewood Country Club.

Last year brought together sponsors, partners, and supporters for a day that turned connection into real impact for HBCU students. 17 sponsors. 108+ golfers. $85,000 raised.

This year, we are building on that momentum.

The Williams-Franklin Foundation would like to congratulate our very own Desiree Carter as she graduates from Florida A&M University! 🎓💙

Desiree has served as the Foundation's Administrative Intern for the past 2 years, helping us to coordinate our scholarship program, fundraisers, nonprofit operations, and community events.

Her dedication, leadership, and excellence are a testament to everything we proudly support through the Foundation.

Desiree had this to say about her experience with WFF, "I had my big day Saturday (May 2) and it wouldn’t be complete without thanking you guys for all you’ve done for me for the past few years. Being in this role has changed me for the better, more than you will ever know. I feel empowered and prepared to take on my professional career and I can give much thanks to WFF. Thank you for giving interns like me the platform to become our best selves. I wish you and the foundation nothing but success and blessings. I pray to return as a Junior Board member in the future 😊"

Join us in congratulating her and wishing her continued success in all that’s ahead! ✨

Not scripted. Not rehearsed. Just people who chose to show up...and keep showing up.

Because they’ve seen what happens when students get the support they need.
Because they believe opportunity shouldn’t be limited by access.
Because this work matters.

💙 This is the “why” behind everything we do. 💙

If it resonates, we’d love to have you in the room, and on the course! Join us June 15, 2026 at Lakewood Country Club for our 6th Annual Golf Tournament.
