The ones who answer your call at any time of day. Never knowing if that call is our friend, neighbor or loved one. Thank you for being the calm in the storm and the one bit of kindness and hope in the worst of times.

Washington County Communications wants to thank all 911 dispatchers for their hard work and dedication! We appreciate you!

It was a super busy day in dispatch! Unofficially, we answered between 10 - 15 911 emergency calls, dispatched out 11 fire departments (2 by calling other counties for assistance) and managed around 8 active fires.

Please see emergency managements post so we don’t continue this trend through the weekend!

Always thankful for our amazing team of volunteers! 🚒

UPDATE: Well Lincoln (what a cute name) is busting out of doggy jail! His owner was happy to pay the bond to get him back. 😉Thanks everyone for your help!

Is this your male dog?
Lost in the Linn area. He does have an injured rear leg. He has a collar with what appears to be an electric fence module on it.
Please contact the Sheriffs Office at 785-325-2293!
He’s a really sweet boy who is probably missing his family!
