It's Banned Books week! This is a week dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating books that have faced harsh criticism and censorship.

As part of our celebration of banned books, library staff submitted their favorite banned books to share. These are books they loved, that helped them grow, that made them feel seen, or that they feel everyone should read.

The best part? These are ALL books we have in our collection! You can check these out at our User Services desk today.

Our staff list includes:

Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo

Looking for Alaska by John Green

The Handmaid's Tale (both novel and graphic novel) by Margaret Atwood

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Are You There God? It's Me Margaret by Judy

The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

The Lorax by Dr. Suess

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

1984 by George Orwell

Sold by Patricia Mccormick

Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña

Hair Love by matthewacherry

Stop by to check out one of these books or to inquire about other banned books we have in our collection.

W&J's Pride is in full swing! Stop by the library table to take the "BuzzFeed" style quiz created by our own Brianna Falduto!

We have a large LGBTQIA collection at the Clark Family Library available to students, staff, and faculty! This includes books, videos, graphic novels, and more. The quiz, which will be available on the website, allows you to answer a series of questions and arrive at a customized list of library media.

Did you know it's Constitution Day?

With Spooky Season right around the corner, the Clark Family Library has gathered a display of materials on dead and zombie amendments to celebrate.

What are dead and zombie amendments, you say? They are amendments to the Constitution that were either killed before they could be ratified or killed and then brought back to be ratified later.

The Display will be at the front of the library near the elevator. You are encouraged to interact! Please stop by and check it out.

What can we say? We are just a bunch of chic people in a very chic field. You too can be chic when you use the library.

Come in and check out new equipment like graphing calculators, microphones, and textbooks all generously made possible by the philanthropic support of Dick ’68 and Angie Clark and their family.

Stop by the carts at User Services and "Read and Relax" to give us your fun ideas for displays and what you'd like to see in the library.

Check back for events like study-a-thon, therapy dogs, and Feel Good Friday. Need a break now? Take some time to decompress by doing the puzzle by User Services.

Interested in history? Head downstairs to the Archive and check out what our archivist has been up to this summer or study under the beautiful lamps in the Walker Room.

Research, finding course materials, or citing sources? We can help with that! Come find a librarian, pop onto library chat, or book an appointment for help. We are here for you!
