🔜 Many of us are interested in road and/or bridge and transportation projects within the City….the Tri County Regional Planning Commission(TCRPC) plays a large part in the planning, funding, implementation of these projects.

🚧 Recently we read a post on the City’s FB page informing us of survey work on our Main Street Corridor. The City has been awarded grant(s) for this upcoming work through the TCRPC👍🏼

🚥You might be interested in both current AND future (currently unfunded) projects related to Washington. These are found in the FY 2027-30 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) (Resolution 27-16) that was adopted at the recent October 7, 2026 meeting where, I as your mayor, represent the City of Washington. I have added various screenshots related to Washington….for your perusal to this post.

👉🏼The current Ordinance regarding elected officials compensation was approved on October 19, 2020 and expired on April 30, 2025.

What does that mean…expired on April 30, 2025❓
👉🏼Your current elected officials - mayor, alderpersons, city clerk, city treasurer - compensation has been frozen at the amount received the FY24-25 fiscal year.

Can compensation of elected officials be approved anytime of the year ❓
👉🏼Increases to the elected officials compensation must be approved no less than 180 days before the beginning of the term of the officers.

As the Compensation History portion of Monday’s memo states ‘Consideration for a successor ordinance was not brought forward in late 2024’. WHY❓
Answer: The acting city administrator during the late 2024 period did not bring this topic to the Council for discussion.

👉🏼The elected officials wage evaluation process ➖ Quadrennial Wage Evaluation ➖ has historically taken place every four years:
