One of our very own Rotarians visited Dublin, the first Rotary club established outside North America in 1911!

How special the opportunity for Rose Carlson Samuels to experience a place that holds such an important place in Rotary’s history and the power of community.

Also visiting was the President of the Moscow Rotary Club, creating an incredible connection between Rotarians from across the world and reminder of how we are connected beyond borders. 🇺🇸 🇮🇪 🇷🇺

🌟 Congratulations to Katy Bussman, our Groundbreaker Award Recipient! 🌟

This week, the Camas-Washougal Rotary Club had the honor of welcoming District Governor Renée Fontenot to our meeting. We were grateful to hear her inspiring message about Rotary’s impact and leadership, and especially honored to have her present this year’s Groundbreaker Award to Katy Bussman.

The Groundbreaker Award recognizes a Rotarian whose service sparks action, inspires others, and creates lasting impact through meaningful partnerships in the community.

Katy truly exemplifies those qualities. Through her leadership in advancing behavioral health awareness and inclusion, and her tireless efforts to champion the installation of Buddy Benches throughout our area, she has helped create safe, welcoming spaces where connection, kindness, and support can flourish for countless children and families.

Her vision has united community partners, expanded Rotary’s reach, and demonstrated what is possible when we work together to serve others.

Congratulations, Katy, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making our community a more compassionate and connected place. A big shout out to her husband, Dave, for accepting the award on her behalf.

We also extend our sincere thanks to District Governor Renée Fontenot for visiting our club and for recognizing the incredible work being done by our members. It was a privilege to have you with us!

💙💛 Congratulations, Katy! Your impact will be felt for years to come.

The countdown is on for one of Camas Days' favorite traditions! 💛💙💛
Can you believe it's almost time for the 32nd Annual Camas-Washougal Rotary Ducky Derby?
In just a couple weeks, thousands of little yellow ducks will take to the water, families will line the banks cheering them on, and our community will come together for a day filled with excitement, laughter, and friendly competition.

07/13/2026

Thousands of ducks. One incredible community.
What looks like a fun race is actually something much bigger.
Every yellow duck floating down the course represents someone who chose to invest in Camas and Washougal. Every ticket helps fund projects that serve local families, students, and organizations throughout the year.
That's what makes the Ducky Derby so special.
You aren't just watching a race.
You're helping write the next chapter of community impact.
Join us July 26 and see why this tradition has been going strong for 32 years.

Some traditions just get better with time 💛💙
For 32 years, families have lined the banks, picked their lucky duck, and watched thousands of yellow racers float toward the finish line.

Some come for the prizes.
Some come for the laughs.
Some come because it's simply not Camas Days without the Ducky Derby.
Whatever brings you, every duck purchased helps support local scholarships, youth programs, and community projects that strengthen Camas and Washougal.
Will this be the year your duck takes home the grand prize?
