What we do day in and day out it all takes funds unfortunately and without the communities support it wouldn't happen or even be possible. From everyone showing up to our fundraisers and donating, to businesses donating we can't possibly thank you all enough! We where fortunate enough to receive 2 different grants from two wonderful businesses, FNB Insurance Agency and Smith Insurance Agency. Both of these businesses recognize the importance of volunteer fire departments and we greatly appreciate their support. These funds will be used towards the purchase of a new pumper truck. Thank you both!

Had another great training tonight put together and planned out by our safety officers. We hope we never have to use these skills in real life but if for some reason we do knowing that everyone knows the drill is comforting. Being the rural community that we are grain bin rescue is a very probable call, so we train for those instances.

Everyday we are grateful to have our EMS people on our department as they do SO much at every single call. They're the glue that holds the department together and we are so grateful for the time and effort they put towards our department. From hours on top of hours of training yearly to all those calls in the middle of the night, to making sure the truck is stocked with everything needed and its all up to date, we are thankful for you! So join me in Thanking all our EMS providers on Washta's Department!

THANK YOU!!! Our local phone and Internet provider went above and beyond for their 100th Anniversary of providing service to our area! They made a donation of $10,000 to our department to help in the purchase of a new pumper truck! What an amazing gesture and we are very grateful! Thank you so very much WesTel Systems!!
