🚨 MATCOM AT THE IDEA HOMESCHOOL RESPONDER EXPO! 🚨

Yesterday, MatCom had the opportunity to participate in IDEA Homeschool’s Responder Expo, and we loved connecting with students and families in our community!

We’re always excited for opportunities to share 911 education and introduce others to the rewarding and exciting career of emergency dispatching.

Interested in having MatCom visit your classroom, youth group, or community event? We’d love to connect!

📞 **Training for the Future!** 📱

This week, MatCom employees are hard at work behind the scenes training and preparing for our new call-handling system, including Text-to-911.

In just two weeks, the new system and expanded services will be available to the MatSu Valley, providing our community with additional ways to connect with emergency services when help is needed.

Remember: Call 911 whenever you can. Text 911 when you can’t.

Unlike a phone call, a text message doesn’t provide a dial tone or connection signal. That’s why the FCC requires wireless providers to notify you if your Text-to-911 message cannot reach or is not supported by the receiving 9-1-1 center.
