As winter approaches, we want to remind village residents that winter parking restrictions begin November 1st. After November 1st, no parking is allowed on any village street between 2 am and 6 am to help keep the roads clear for snow removal.

As the Village of Waterloo continues to move forward with steps necessary to improve drainage within the Village, subcontractors are in the process of gathering field information to aid in the design for these improvements on the east side of the Village. Surveyors and other individuals involved in the project will be conducting site visits on and around the following streets: Mechanic, East Elizabeth, East Elisha, East Willaims, Clark and Water Streets, NYS Routes 5 and 20. Exact dates of site visits or investigations is not known, and may not be continuous, however they may extend over the next few months and will be on weekdays only; No investigations or data collection is planned for any weekend. If you see wooden stakes with pink flags in your area, please leave them in place and work around them. These markers are extremely crucial to the collection of that data and will be used for design purposes. Please contact the Village Offices with any questions.

As our communities rally together to support each other in the aftermath of the recent storm, we have been asked to share the following notice:

The Geneva Christian Fellowship along with In His Name Ministry will be offering a meal and free groceries to those recently impacted in Waterloo.

The mobile food distribution will be held Saturday September 12th behind the Waterloo Town Offices located at 66 Virginia Street in the back parking lot between 10:00am – 1:00pm.

Storm Release

Our community in the Village of Waterloo has experiencing a unprecedented and devastating “Natural Disaster”, and as we all pull together during this very trying time, neighbor helping neighbor, and community members pulling together to help perfect strangers, we are community strong! We will get through this with patience and understanding. As representatives for Village of Waterloo, we actively pursuing a “Declaration of Disaster”” in the Village for the storm that hit Waterloo on September 2, 2026.

The Village is asking residents to submit photos and estimates for the damages cause by the Storm. Information can be sent via text to 315-651-9017, dropped off at the Village Office, or even brought to the Village Office to be printed if needed. Please provide owner information, property location and contact information with all submissions.

Additionally, the Village would like residents to know that we are here to assist the community in any way we can. Please reach out to us @ 315-539-9131.

Community Actions:
The Village of Waterloo is actively providing debris removal for trees and brush that are being placed at the roadside. Please do not include construction debris. We will not pick through the pile.

The Village is working with Seneca County to have a Village wide debris pickup Tuesday, 9/8/2026. This will also be for trees and brush placed at the roadside. Please do not include construction debris. We will not pick through the pile.
