Third Monday Fire Training
During last night’s third‑Monday fire training, crews focused on several hands‑on operational skills to strengthen readiness and reinforce safe, efficient fireground performance.
Firefighters worked on vertical ventilation, practicing coordinated roof operations and tool use to improve smoke removal and interior visibility during structure fires. Crews also completed reps with ground ladders, emphasizing proper placement, climbing technique, and rescue positioning.
Training continued with window rescue scenarios, giving teams the opportunity to refine victim removal methods and communication during tight‑space extrications.
To close out the night, crews reviewed saw maintenance and care, ensuring everyone remains confident in proper setup, troubleshooting, and routine upkeep of the equipment.
Consistent skill‑based training like this keeps our department sharp, prepared, and ready to respond effectively for the community.
