Yesterday was our Surprise Attendance Reward day! Students received a surprise as an extra treat just for being here! Remember each month we will celebrate a random day, where you will only find out the reward if you are here that day.

It has been a hot day working on the lord’s land, and you are ready for your lunch break! You return to your small home and sit down to eat a small piece of rye bread with cheese and a cup of ale! We got to celebrate being a serf during our Middle Ages unit.

🦸‍♂️ REAL-LIFE KINGSLEY SUPERHERO ALERT! 🦸‍♂️
Imagine being a 10-year-old on a Friday afternoon, ready to head into the weekend and enjoy some well-earned free time. But when 5th grader Liam Huse saw someone who needed help, he didn’t hesitate to step up. 💙

Liam noticed a dangerous situation unfolding and immediately sprang into action, helping get someone to safety and making sure they were okay. His quick thinking, courage and compassion are a powerful example of what it means to look out for others. 👏

When asked about his quick thinking, Liam shared:
“I had no second thoughts about it. I saw she was little and needed help, so I ran to her and walked her home. It felt good knowing she was able to get home safe!”

Liam, your courage and strong moral character inspire all of us across Waterloo Schools. You represent the very best of what it means to be a Kingsley Cougar leader! 🐾✨
