Huge shout-out to the 445th TC's Hero of the Battlefield for National Training Center Rotation 24-11, SGT Chevy Burnell. He expertly led multiple convoys forward to the Brigade Support Area, a mission normally led by Staff Sergeants and above.

His citation reads: "For exceptionally meritorious achievement during NTC Rotation 24-11 while assigned to 687th CSSB. SGT Burnell's motivation, hard work, and dedication to duty were essential to mission success. He performed all missions in a professional manner while working around the clock in the harsh Mojave desert, under the toughest training conditions the Army has to offer. His steadfast dedication to duty and extreme professionalism reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army."

🎣🎯 🛶 Family Day Recap!

We swapped our trucks for kayaks at Big Woods Lake Campground last weekend for Family Day!

Huge shoutout to Black Hawk County Conservation for pulling together a flawless event. As well as special shoutouts to CrawDaddy Outdoors for providing the kayaks that survived our paddling attempts; Megan Hamm for making us look ALMOST skilled with a bow, and to the Cedar Valley Walleye Club for making us master anglers! Lastly, thank you to Lee Smith for donating the food. The community support means the world.

It’s time to say goodbye and a final “thank you” to our legendary Ops NCO, SSG Clingerman, who has worked tirelessly (and sometimes just plain tired) to make our missions happen. From wrangling taskings to herding cats (a.k.a. us), he’s been instrumental in our success.

SSG Clingerman and his lovely family are headed to Massachusetts for his next assignment. Wishing you all the best!
