Please do not throw smoking materials out the windows of your vehicles!!!!

🔥 OUTDOOR FIRE SAFETY REMINDER 🔥

Just because we’re into the fall season doesn’t mean the grass and brush can’t still be dry enough to catch fire.

Today, we were dispatched for an outdoor fire along the side of the road. Luckily, a passerby noticed the fire and was able to get it mostly extinguished before we arrived.

This is a good reminder that discarded ci******es, hot vehicle parts, or other items thrown along the roadside can easily start a fire, especially when conditions are dry.

Please use caution and never assume the ground is too damp for a fire to spread. A small fire can quickly become a much bigger problem.

🔥 Help us prevent fires before they start. Stay alert, use caution, and call 911 if you see a fire.
