With winter approaching and the leaves starting to fall, now is a great time to get out and enjoy all that fall has to offer! The North Country has some beautiful hiking trails to explore. Get outside and enjoy the nice weather while you can before winter keeps us indoors!

We are excited to welcome Laura Perry as our new 4-H Camp Wabasso Director! Laura is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She has been involved in 4-H for 22 years as a 4-Her, volunteer, and CCE employee. She has a deep appreciation for the opportunities 4-H provides to young people. Laura is a 4-H Camp Wabasso alumni and as such camp holds a special place in her heart. She is excited to be a part of creating meaningful, memorable experiences for future campers!

On September 30th and October 1st, we hosted our annual Ag-venture Days. Approximately 600 4th and 5th graders participated this year!

Interested in some Halloween fun for the entire family? Join us for our 4th annual Camp Spooktacular on Saturday, October 10th from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

This open house style event will feature trick or treating, crafts, games, and other Halloween inspired activities! Come dressed in your Halloween costume for some extra festive fun!

More 2026 camp survey results are in!

·92% of parents who filled out our survey rated their campers experience as excellent or good

·94% of parents said they would send their camper back to 4-H Camp Wabasso!

We are thrilled at the responses we have received and can't wait for the 2027 camp season!

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County is hosting their first annual fundraiser and this year it will benefit camp! The fundraiser theme is Adventure Awaits and will feature an in-person auction taking place on Saturday, October 17th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. In spirit of the theme, attendees can expect a variety of outdoor-inspired items and experiences that will be auctioned off.

Through the educational activities and hands-on experiences at camp, our hope it that every camper can experience making new friends. According to our 2026 camper survey, 94% of campers said they made new friends at camp this summer!
