Yesterday, our officers spent a couple hours enjoying a cup of coffee and meaningful conversation with our great community at Stewart’s during “Coffee with a Cop”.

A huge THANK YOU to Stewart’s Shop for hosting! We love opportunities to collaborate with our community! ☕️👮🏻💙

Well, this is something you don’t see everyday. Apparently Zebra wrangling is now on our list of police responsibilities! 🦓

Shout out to the Circus for giving Lt. Noone a reason to come to work! 😂

Today, we celebrated Detective Fred March as he retired from the Watertown Police Department after a career dedicated to serving and protecting our community.

Throughout the years, Fred made a lasting impact on the department, his fellow officers, and the many people he served. He earned numerous honors during his career, including a Meritorious Service Award and a Life Saving Medal.

Fred was known for his tenacity, determination, and his ability to outrun just about anyone—suspects and fellow officers included!

While we're sad to see him leave the department, we're excited for Fred as he begins this next chapter.

Thank you, Detective March, for your service, dedication, and commitment to the Watertown community. Thank you for always giving 100%.

Good advice from our friends at the Victims Assistance Center!

✏️🍎The first day of school is a very exciting time for students and their families. Before you capture that first-day-of -school moment, and post it on social media, think about what is in the background and what is written on your First Day of School sign.

DO:
✅Take photos in a safe, private location.
✅Use a nickname or no name at all.
✅Keep the background simple and free of identifying details

DON'T:
🚫Photograph in front of your school, street signs, or house numbers.
🚫Include your child's full name, age, grade, teacher's name, or school name.
🚫Share details that could identify where your child goes to school.

Protecting your child's privacy is protecting their safety. Please share responsibly!
