RESPECT THE STOP ARM!
Give students time and space to travel safely.

46% of parents whose children ride a school bus say their child has experienced a close call involving dangerous driving near a school bus or in a school zone. Behind that number is a child whose safety depends on motorists paying attention.

The Codington County Sheriff’s Office joins our brothers and sisters across South Dakota in mourning the loss of Deputy Katherine Frank of the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office..

Deputy Frank dedicated herself to serving and protecting others. Her loss is felt not only by her fellow deputies at the MCSO, but also by the larger law enforcement community nationwide.

Our hearts are with Katherine’s family, friends, the entire Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, and all Law Enforcement in South Dakota during this incredibly difficult time.

The bonds of our brotherhood and sisterhood extend far beyond jurisdictional lines. When one of our own is lost, we all mourn together.

Rest easy, Deputy Frank.
Thank you for your service, dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to others above self.
