SAVE THE DATE - Back by popular request... but with a twist!

All are welcome to join us for Badges and Breakfast, a "cops and coffee" style community event celebrating the men and women who have served our community and our country. Come enjoy a FREE breakfast, connect with members of the Waterville Police and Fire Departments, and show appreciation for our military veterans and those currently serving on active duty.

We look forward to seeing you there as we honor our hometown heroes and military service members!

Calling All Artists!

BRIDGE ARTISTS SOUGHT FOR EXHIBITION

Artists are invited to submit paintings, drawings and photos of the 118-year-old Roche de Boeuf Interurban Bridge for a Rush de Brush fine art exhibition and sale Nov. 15-30 at Deluxe Frame Shop in Waterville.

Sponsored by Waterville's Save the Bridge Association (STBA) and Deluxe Frame Shop, the exhibition is open for submissions created during a recent outdoor painting event or at any point in the bridge's history. All artwork must be original, not digitally created, framed, and depict the Roche de Boeuf Bridge. Submissions will be accepted through Monday, Oct. 19.

STBA will select 35 entries to be on display during a special opening night fundraising event, from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. The exhibit will remain open to the public at Deluxe Frame Shop, 19 N. River Road, through Nov. 30. Some of the works on display will include older, privately owned paintings and photos of the bridge.

Selected artwork will be offered for sale, with 50 percent of the proceeds benefitting the STBA goal of raising funds for the future adaptive reuse of the historic bridge as a community trail across the scenic Maumee River, said STBA member Janice Braida. Kokosing is currently removing the spandrel walls from the bridge, leaving the arches and piers for the future use.

For specific details on how to submit Rush de Brush artwork, email Deluxe Frame Shop and Art Gallery owner Terry Rousseau at [email protected].

We are excited to announce a new museum program!

First, I will start by informing everyone that the maintenance of way team is officially being branded the "Clover Leaf Crew".

Now for the NEWS: officially starting in January of 2027, we will have the Youth Maintenance of Way (MOW) Gang. This program is for our younger members 14-20.

We've been quietly piloting this program since the Spring with really good results. We've had additional members join the pilot program and now we're rolling it out.

That is Preserve · Restore · Educate, said the way we mean it. We keep the line. We put our hands on the work that restores it. We teach the trades that carry Northwest Ohio’s railroad heritage forward.
