PVPSA joins our community in honoring the life and legacy of Dolores Huerta, whose dedication to justice, equality, and the rights of working families has inspired generations.

As we reflect on her legacy, we are reminded that every voice matters, every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and meaningful change begins when we come together to support one another.

Welcome Michelle & Mia, excited to see what you accomplish during your leadership time 💜

We will be shifting leadership through the year (as decided by the youth) to ensure the majority of our members get an opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience in our program 👏

Check out their most recent efforts; This past weekend we met with along with other accomplished local leaders who serve youth and families in the Pajaro Valley! We’re so excited to continue growing our partnerships through the year 🙌

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - You make time for work, family,
and everything life asks of you. Make time for your health, too.

About 1 in 4 women ages 50-74 in Watsonville and ZIP code 95076 have not had a mammogram in the past two years. Local screening rates show why making time
for recommended screenings matters.

Your health deserves to be on your to-do list.

Mental Illnesses Awareness Week raises awareness to mental illnesses that affect people of all ages and from all communities. It is a reminder that the stigma surrounding mental illnesses continues to exist and must be reduced. This can be done by encouraging open conversations about mental health and challenging its misconceptions. Support can also be given to individuals by recognizing the experiences of those with mental health conditions, and by providing access to care. If you or anyone you know if struggling with their mental health, please reach out to us at 831.728.6445.

LGBTQ+ History is celebrated and recognized through the month of October. This is a time to recognize all the strides the community has made towards an inclusive county. Additionally, it helps us recognize the work that needs to continue to be done to create an inclusive environment for all.
