Congratulations to the recent graduates of our Revive Lake County program!

A group of inmates in the Lake County Sheriff’s Office recently graduated from the Revive Lake County program, completing a five-workshop series designed to build essential skills for entering the workforce and preparing for life after incarceration.

Through the program, participants received resources and guidance in:

🔹 Job training and employment assistance
🔹 Career planning
🔹 Interview preparation and job searches
🔹 Foundational and workplace skills
🔹 Employability skills

Each participant who completed all five workshops earned a certificate endorsed by the Job Center of Lake County and Lake County Workforce Development.

Providing access to education, job readiness and vocational resources is one way we work to promote accountability, encourage positive change and help reduce barriers to successful reentry. Preparing individuals to return to the community with the tools to pursue lawful employment can benefit not only the participants, but the community as a whole.

We remain committed to supporting efforts that promote safer communities and help individuals make positive choices moving forward.

📸 That’s a wrap on another successful Hire Lake County Job Fair!

Last week, Lake County Workforce Development partnered with the Village of Lincolnshire and the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort to bring together employers, community resources, and individuals exploring their next career opportunity.

This year’s event welcomed 91 registered employers and 518 registered job seekers, along with additional walk-ins! We also received valuable feedback from attendees and participating employers, helping us continue to strengthen future events and better serve our community.

A big thank-you to our Business Services Team for their hard work in coordinating the event, our partners for helping make it possible, and all the employers and attendees who participated. Events like these demonstrate the power of collaboration in connecting talent with opportunity across Lake County. 💙
