🇺🇸 Calling Veterans in Our Community! 🇺🇸

In honor of Veterans Day, we would love to invite veterans in our community to come greet our students as they arrive at school on November 11! Your presence means so much to our kids, and it's a wonderful way to show them what service and sacrifice look like in person.

If you're a veteran and would like to join us at the elementary or junior high/high school for this special morning greeting, please fill out this short form: https://forms.gle/9dAAz8uQCinGVTUNA

📋 Please respond by Thursday, October 22
🕢 Arrival time: 7:30 am at your building (Elementary or High School) on November 11

Questions? Contact Abbey Shelman at [email protected] or call the elementary at 319-658-2931. Abbey will reach out via email to confirm what building you will be at.

We can't wait to welcome you and thank you for your service! 💛

WACO Elementary is proud to be a school that implements PBIS. PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It is a set of practices that helps improve student behavior and school culture by setting clear expectations, teaching students how to meet those expectations, and supporting each student along the way based on their individual needs. 🎟️

At WACO, we strive to be:

🩵 Safe
🤍 Responsible
🩵 Respectful

We earn tickets that go toward school-wide PBIS rewards. We have already earned one reward that allowed students to wear hats 🎩 and or sunglasses 🕶️ to school. Our next ticket goal is set for 4,000 tickets 🎟️. We can't wait until we reach this goal and earn another school wide PBIS reward!
