Fall brings beautiful scenery, but it can also create new hazards on the road. ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿš— Wet leaves can be as slippery as ice, shorter days mean reduced visibility, and wildlifeโ€”especially deerโ€”can be more active around dawn and dusk. Slow down, use your headlights when conditions call for them, and make sure your tires, brakes, and wipers are ready for changing weather. Keep your windshield clear of leaves and always avoid distractions behind the wheel. Slow down. Stay alert. Arrive safe. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿš˜

๐Ÿš’ MUTUAL-AID RESPONSE โ€“ CLIFTON, NJ

Members of Community Volunteer Fire Company #1 are currently responding with Engine 1-2 to a mutual-aid request assisting the Clifton Fire Department in the City of Clifton.

Mutual aid plays an important role in the fire service, allowing neighboring departments to work together and provide additional resources when needed. Whether responding to emergencies within Wayne Township or assisting surrounding communities, our volunteers remain ready to answer the call whenever assistance is requested.

As our members continue their response, we ask residents and motorists to use caution around emergency vehicles, remain alert for responding apparatus, and give emergency personnel the space they need to operate safely.

We would like to thank our dedicated volunteers for their continued commitment to serving our community and neighboring municipalities, as well as their families for supporting the time and effort they dedicate to the fire service.

Community Volunteer Fire Company 1 brought fire safety education to the students at Randall Carter School in Wayne! ๐Ÿš’

Our firefighters spent time discussing fire safety, answering questions, and giving students an up-close look at Engine 1-2 and the equipment we use to serve our community.

These visits help children learn about staying safe while becoming more comfortable with firefighters and our protective equipment. Building that familiarity early can help make an emergency a little less frightening.

Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff at Randall Carter School for welcoming us and making fire safety part of your school day. We enjoyed spending time with you!

Fallโ€™s dry leaves and changing weather can increase the risk of brush and wildfires. ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ”ฅ Help protect our community by keeping leaves, brush, and other dry debris cleared from around your property, following all local burning restrictions, and properly disposing of ci******es. If youโ€™re enjoying a campfire, keep it small, contained, and well away from dry vegetationโ€”and never leave it unattended. If you see an uncontrolled fire or smoke that may indicate an emergency, call 911. Dry leaves. Dry conditions. Higher risk. Help prevent fires before they start. ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ
