Congratulations to Preakness Fire Company 4’s John Babitz for an amazing 60 years as a volunteer firefighter. Wayne Township NJ is 179 years old and John has helped keep it safe for 34% of the township’s existence! He is a hero, an inspiration, and most deserving of this Council proclamation and Mayor Vergano’s recognition.

At this week’s Wayne Township NJ Council meeting, we celebrated Small Business Week and recognized several small businesses in town. I had the pleasure of recognizing George Massola from Massola Jewelers, a business operating in Wayne for over 40 years. Congratulations to our other honorees and all of the small businesses that prosper in Wayne!
