The Arc of Haywood County
The Arc of Haywood County was founded in 1976 by a group of parents who were concerned about what would happen to their children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as the parents got older and could no longer provide the care needed. We are a non profit organization dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc of Haywood County's comprehensive skill development training programs and activities in our group homes and community living programs are designed and implemented based on Individualized needs. This person-centered approach is intended to empower individuals to maintain and enhance independence and quality of life while achieving community inclusion in the least restrictive living environment.
