🚌WLS Fiscal Focus: More Than Fuel

💻Safe school transportation takes buses, trained staff, fuel, insurance, and regular maintenance. This past year, we also invested in routing software and cameras to improve efficiency and safety.

💰Next week, October 19–23, our drivers will count student riders each morning and afternoon. These counts, along with daily mileage, are reported to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to calculate the annual transportation funding.

🚌Our buses connect students to school—and our drivers build relationships along the way. That makes transportation an investment in both safety and student connections.

Wayne Local Schools is hiring Substitute Bus Drivers! Pay is $22.34 per hour. If you or someone you know has a CDL and enjoys working with kids, this could be a great opportunity to join our team!

👻In the spirit of the season, WES kindergartners recently dreamed up their own unique monsters; WHS students brought their designs to life by hand-sewing them out of felt, and this week the kindergartners got to meet and hold their one-of-a-kind creations!
