The City of W**d is pleased to announce that demolition and cleanup activities associated with the Main Street fire are scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026, with completion anticipated in late November.

This project represents another important step in our community's recovery and the ongoing effort to restore and revitalize our downtown.

Construction activities are expected to occur Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Introducing the City of W**d Podcast

We are trying something new to help keep our community informed and connected.
In the first episode of the City of W**d Podcast, City Manager Dr. Dustin Stambaugh looks back on the past year (from September 2025 through September 2026) and discusses the challenges the City has faced, the progress that has been made, and the work still ahead.

Topics include water and infrastructure improvements, downtown cleanup and redevelopment, emergency preparedness, community partnerships, W**d Vision 2035, City operations, and efforts to improve communication with residents.

This is intended to be another way for you to hear directly from the City and better understand the work happening behind the scenes.
