CCEMA staff had two community events this morning with high school students from throughout the county!

Cass County Government Day we taught the students our role in county government, showed them our specialty equipment and gave them tours of our Mobile Command Post and Emergency Response Vehicles!

Cass County Extension Office Connect the Dots Event! Our staff alongside with Cass County Sheriffs Office represented the Public Service Career cluster. We had a great time helping the students identify the steps to reach their goal careers and offering real life advice from in those careers!

We had a great day!

Remembering this day 25 years ago and honoring those who lost their lives.

No two days are ever the same. One day may be spent responding to calls, completing reports, attending meetings, and managing emails and administrative responsibilities.

Then other days are focused entirely on hands-on training and collaborating with partner agencies like CCSO and CERT, preparing for real-world emergencies.

Every day brings new situations, new opportunities to learn, and new ways to serve our community.

*no injuries occurred during the training, just theatrical moulage*
