As we approach the Independence Day holiday, we want to remind our community that due to current fire restrictions made by Governor Cox, and the increased risk of wildfires, our city will not be conducting a fireworks display this year. While we understand this tradition is something many look forward to, protecting our community, firefighters, and surrounding public lands must remain our top priority.

Please do your part by following all local fire restrictions, using only legal fireworks where permitted, and reporting any signs of smoke or fire immediately. Even one stray spark can have devastating consequences under the current conditions.

We encourage everyone who would still like to enjoy a fireworks show to consider attending the event that Carbon Events and Recreation Complex is hosting above the Price fairgrounds at dusk on the 4th. These events provide a safe way to celebrate while helping reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support as we work together to keep our community safe. We wish everyone a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day!

Please be aware of the fire restrictions in our area.
