Incendio Sisi

Si usted vuela, nosotros no podemos hacerlo.

Incendio Little Giant
Actualización diaria
Viernes, 4 de Septiembre de 2026

Datos Rápidos

Tamaño: 170,784 acres | Fecha de inicio: 15 de julio de 2026 | Causa: Rayos | Contención: 73%
Recursos: 47 autobombas; 28 cuadrillas; 8 equipo pesado; 26 camiones cisterna; 8 helicópteros; 1,735 personal total

Si usted vuela, nosotros no podemos hacerlo.

Sisi Fire
Daily Update
Friday, September 4, 2026

Quick Facts:
Location: 10 miles northwest of Stehekin, WA

Size: 2,244 acres | Start Date: August 14, 2026 | Cause: Lightning | Containment: 9%
Resources: 2 Wildland Fire Modules; (4) 20-Person Hand Crew; 5 Engines; 23 Overhead; Total Personnel: 178

Current Situation: With minimal rainfall yesterday, the Sisi Fire continues to back downslope toward the Stehekin Valley. The fire remains moderately active to the north in the Cabin Creek and Moon Creek drainages, and includes a spot on the eastern perimeter of Sun Creek. Crews are preparing to implement more direct attack strategies in the coming days while continuing to use arial resources as weather allows. Ground crews are nearing completion of structure‑protection efforts, with roughly 90 percent of planned preparation work now finished.

In Stehekin, you will see an increase in fire personnel and equipment. Residents and visitors are advised to use caution while traveling on community roadways due to expected heavier traffic.

Closures and Safety: The North Cascades National Park issued a closure for portions of the PCT (Agnes Creek Trail) as well as trails and a cross-country zone. Park fire closure information can be found on the Fire Closures page. A Forest Trail Closure Order is in place for the Wenatchee River, Entiat Ranger District and Chelan Ranger District, as well as a forest-wide campfire ban. Remember to stay clear of the firefighting aircraft scooping water from area lakes and rivers. A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) is in effect over the fire area; unauthorized drones are prohibited within this TFR. If you fly, we can’t.

Evacuations: An interactive map displays Level 1, 2, and 3 evacuations in Chelan County for communities near the fire. You can sign up for evacuation notifications in your area on Everbridge. Residents should be prepared for changes in evacuation levels, as fire conditions can change rapidly.

Weather and Smoke: Cool temperatures will continue, with a low chance of rain. Warmer weather is expected later in the weekend. Smoke information is available on the daily smoke outlook and WASmoke Blog. Air quality alerts, tips to protect from smoke impacts, and additional resources from Chelan-Douglas Health District are also available.

Little Giant Fire
Daily Update
Friday, Sept. 4, 2026

Quick Facts
Size: 170,784 acres | Start Date: July 15, 2026 | Cause: Lightning | Containment: 73%

Total Resources: 47 engines; 28 crews; 8 dozers; 26 water tenders; 8 helicopters; 1,735 total personnel

Current Situation: Moderated weather conditions have decreased fire activity over the Little Giant Fire reducing the immediate risks to communities and developed areas previously threatened. With 73% of the perimeter contained, firefighters continue holding current containment lines, improving contingency lines, performing mop up, and patrolling as necessary. Excess equipment that is not necessary for operations is being removed and rehabilitated for use on the next incident. Aircraft is being utilized as air quality and weather permits. Heavy equipment is being used to construct control lines and maintain road integrity, as needed. Structure protection remains in place and resources are taking precautionary measures when able for potential rain-event effects.

In the Stormy and Baldy Mountain area, low precipitation levels have kept firefighters engaged with occasional increases in fire activity where the fire is holding west of Devil’s Backbone Ridge. In the Trinity area, fire activity has moderated and is expected to back into a natural containment feature. Hotshot crews in Twin Lakes continue to construct control lines to keep the fire east of the lake. On the south perimeter, fire activity has also moderated in Cougar Creek, where the fire is holding above Mad River. Patrol status has been initiated for Tyee Mountain, Alder Creek, and areas east of the Chiwawa River. The north perimeter of the fire near Cardinal Peak and Pomas has shown minimal growth, particularly in previously burned areas and along inaccessible natural features.

Closures and Safety: A Forest Closure Order is in place for the Wenatchee River, Entiat Ranger District and Chelan Ranger District, as well as a forest-wide campfire ban. The North Cascades National Park issued a closure for portions of the PCT (Agnes Creek Trail) as well as other trails and a cross-country zone. Park fire closure information can be found on the Fire Closures page. Remember to stay near the shore and clear of firefighting aircraft scooping water from area lakes and rivers. A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) is in effect over the fire area; unauthorized drones are prohibited within the TFR.
If you fly, we can’t.
