This is what Wenatchee Panther Pride looks, feels and sounds like. 🎶🏆💜 Last weekend the Golden Apple Band traveled to Yakima for the Harvest of Marching Bands Festival, one of the premier events showcasing the finest high school marching bands in the Northwest. This year’s show is called Red and it made an impression.

Out of 24 bands competing:
🥁 8th place overall
🎺 4th place in the AAA division
🏆 Best Visual in the AAA division

Best Visual. Out of every AAA band on that field. Anyone who has seen Red perform knows exactly why they earned it. The GA Band and color guard travel to Everett this weekend for their final competition of the season.

🎶🎻 Last week, WHS choir, band, and orchestra groups held their first concert of the 2026-27 school year! Thank you to everyone involved for putting on a fantastic show and to all the family and friends in the community who came out to show their support.

Your ballot arrived this week — and WSD School Board President Tucker Jackson has a message for our community. 🗳️

Tucker is a Wenatchee parent with two students heading to Wenatchee High School soon. He also notes that WHS was built in 1972 (older than he is....a fact his 4-year-old nephew Quinn recently weighed in on with some brutal honesty.)

In all seriousness, Tucker walks through what three years of community planning, research, and design work produced and what Wenatchee voters will decide on November 3rd. The board has unanimously adopted a resolution in support of placing the measure on the ballot.

If approved by voters, the bond would rebuild most of WHS, renovate the rest, and replace aging HVAC systems at seven schools, improving air quality and learning environments for over 5,000 students and 700 staff.

🐾🎓 Over 40 seniors attended the Washington State University Instant Admissions event at WHS last Friday! Here are just a few of the students who were accepted! Congratulations to everyone who was admitted, and thanks to WSU for stopping by to guide students through the admissions process.

🗳🐾 WHS PRE-BOND VISIT // A huge thank you to these seven AVID students who volunteered time after school to welcome community members, lead campus tours, and share what learning inside WHS is like every day. Assessing our district's facility needs has been a true team effort, driven by input from students, staff, and the community.

At its core, this proposal is built around our students and giving them the safe, healthy schools they deserve.

‼️ Remember to vote by November 3rd. The online and mail-in voter registration deadline is October 26. In-person registration is available through Election Day. Drop boxes close at exactly 8:00 PM on Election Day.

This year, all designated conference times are in-person at WHS. If you would like to arrange a remote conference via phone or video call, please contact your student's teacher directly.
