Wenatchee Public Library Wenatchee Public Library is part of NCW Libraries in Washington state.

Wenatchee’s first library was opened to the public in 1912 after the city received $10,000 from the Carnegie Corporation to fund the project. By 1930, the library had become too small for the community, and the children’s materials were moved to another location. In 1939, the library moved to a larger building, and plans were soon made to build a new library for the city of Wenatchee. The current library was opened for service in 1959, and the building
has been carefully maintained and rearranged to meet our community’s changing needs. There were no major or structural renovations until 2013, when the Wade family generously donated funds to build an engaging and greatly expanded space for children’s books and services.

We’re looking forward to creating another work of art at our next A.T.L.A.S. event on Tuesday, October 13th at 3:30. We’ll learn about murals and then work together to create one of our own on a paper “wall”!

We’ve been having so much fun bringing the library to local high schools!

Every Tuesday during lunch, we visit Wenatchee High School to offer library card sign-ups, book check-outs, and a fun new theme each week. We also visit Eastmont High School during lunch on the first two Tuesdays of each month!

This week things got a little spooky! We love connecting with students, helping them find their next great read, and bringing a little library magic to their lunch hour.

We can’t wait to see what theme is next! ✨

💀 Help Us Fill Our Dia de los Mu***os Ofrenda 💀
Our library has created a Dia de los Mu***os ofrenda to honor and remember the loved ones who are no longer with us.
We would love to invite our community to be part of this special display. If you would like to honor a loved one, please bring a photo of them to the library, and we will proudly add it to our ofrenda.
*Don't have a printed photo? No problem! You're welcome to utilize our library printer!*
