🎀💕 A Beautiful Day of Hope, Strength & Unity! 💕🎀

What an amazing morning at our 6th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, proudly hosted by the City of Weslaco and Hidalgo County Precinct 1!

The beautiful, cool weather made for a perfect morning as our community came together dressed in pink, walking with purpose, celebrating survivors, honoring those we have lost, and standing alongside those who continue their fight against breast cancer. 💗

It was truly heartwarming to see so many families, friends, and community members come together for such a meaningful cause.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, our dedicated staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this year's event such an incredible success!

Events like today remind us that when our community comes together, we can make a difference.

🎀 We walk for those who fought, those who continue to fight, and those who will never be forgotten.

Until next year, let's continue spreading awareness, encouraging early detection, and reminding everyone that NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! 💪💕

Commissioner David Fuentes joined Enriqueta Caballero, Outreach Specialist with the Texas Water Development Board; Rene Perez, Border Affairs Liaison with TCEQ Region 15; and Steven Sanchez, General Manager of North Alamo Water Supply Corporation, for a panel discussion at the Pathways to 2027: Texas Water Policy Forum at Texas A&M University–San Antonio.Moderated by Chad Wootton of Texas A&M Health, the panel focused on “Mapping System Processes and Institutional Pathways.”

Also in attendance was Drainage District Manager Raul Sesin, representing Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1, alongside his team, including his Chief of Staff, Jaime Salazar.Proud to have Hidalgo County represented in this important conversation about the future of water in Texas!

🚗 Working for Precinct 1 — From Precinct 1 to Austin to Waco!

Before heading to Waco for the 104th Annual County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas Conference, Hidalgo County Precinct 1 Commissioner David Fuentes made a stop in Austin at the office of State Representative Armando “Mando” Martinez.

Commissioner Fuentes then continued on to Waco, where he had the opportunity to speak at the 104th Annual County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas Conference, joining county officials from across Texas to share knowledge and discuss issues affecting county government.

Building safer neighborhoods, together! 💙

Last night, Hidalgo County Precinct 1 staff from the office of Commissioner David Fuentes were proud to join the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office National Night Out at the RGV Livestock Show Grounds in Mercedes.

National Night Out brings neighbors and law enforcement together to build trust, promote safety and strengthen our community. Thank you to Sheriff's Office personnel, first responders and every family who came out and made the evening a success!

Hidalgo County Precinct 1 will join the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s office at the annual National Night Out this evening starting at 5:30 pm until 9 pm. This year’s NNO will be held at the RGV Livestock Show and Rodeo show grounds in Mercedes, TX. Enjoy food, drinks, live music and plenty of family fun while at the same time getting to meet the amazing men and women who serve and protect our communities.
