In Coatesville, firefighters once stripped down to their shirts and shorts for water rescues. Now, they have dry suits in their lockers.

Keeping with a time honored tradition at the Fame. Our members took to Greenfield for the 27th annual Labor Day softball game also known as the "Riggtown Games". A hard fought battle on the diamond from both the married and single teams. Despite the strong defense from the married team, they could not hold off the clutch hitting and the single team wins for the second year in a row 15-9. Afterwards, members gathered back at the Fame for the annual picnic and shenanigans.

The Fame would like to wish you all a safe and happy Labor Day Holiday!

Very busy July 4th for the Fame as severe weather plowed through Chester County. This was one of several incidents handled by the Fame, and West Chester Fire Dept. last evening.

No parade? No problem!

While we are disappointed, but also understand, to find out the America 250th parade was canceled, we decided while we had it dressed up for pictures to take the 1884 Slilsby for a walk through the Riggtown neighborhood this morning. After the short walk, many of us were glad it was canceled.

Our hearts go out to the 250th parade team at Under the Sun Production as they worked so hard to try and make this happen. We also feel for everyone who was invited to attend. Unfortunately, no one can stop Mother Nature. We ask you to please stay safe this July 4th weekend!

Time to check your mailboxes!

The Fame Fire Company's annual letter drive will be delivered to your mailbox this week. Through your donations and support, the Fame continues to provide emergency services to the greater West Chester area 24/7/365. Every donation helps to keep us going!

This is the one and only time each year where we ask for your donations through the mail. The Fame does not, and will not solicit through the phone, or e-mails asking for donations.
As always, we thank you for your support.
