On Friday, we recognized our Deans, Division Heads, Directors, Executive Directors, and Superintendent for the leadership, guidance, and support they provide to our school community each day!

From supporting students and staff to strengthening our programs and helping move WeGo forward, their dedication and collaboration make a meaningful difference throughout our school.

Here's what one of the multiple teachers who nominated him had to say about Brock:

"He's a good friend to everyone he meets. He does his best to include everyone in every activity. He notices when other people are sad, or frustrated, or experiencing any kind of negative feeling. He goes out of his way to help, and often advocates for other students. When I think of the best parts of WeGo, I think about Brock Parker because he exemplifies them!"

Yesterday, we celebrated Food and Facilities Day and recognized our incredible Quest Food Services team, custodial staff, and maintenance team!

From preparing meals and keeping our spaces clean to maintaining our building and responding when needs arise, their work helps make WeGo a safe, welcoming, and supportive place for students and staff each day.

From keeping our systems running smoothly to supporting staff and students, their work plays an important role in teaching, learning, and daily operations across District 94.

Happy 100th Birthday, West Chicago Community High School!

A century ago today, we opened the doors at 326 Joliet Street for the very first time.

And for 100 years since, we’ve kept them wide open, welcoming learners of all sorts into our classrooms to live and learn alongside one another and to grow into tomorrow’s leaders as they do.

Much has changed since September 23rd, 1926, but the more things change, the more they stay the same. Who we have always been for students is who we will continue to be. And we’ve never been more committed than we are today to our shared mission of igniting a passion for learning, fostering leadership and responsibility, and empowering all learners to live their personal best.

We hope you’ll take a few minutes with us today as we honor our legacy, celebrate today’s Wildcats, and begin building our next 100 years together.

As Superintendent Dr. Kurt Johansen says, 100 years on, today is a great day to be a Wildcat.
