Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our students, employees, and community as our top priority, Brazosport College will suspend all on-campus operations at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, due to forecasted heavy rainfall and the potential for hazardous travel conditions.

All in-person evening classes scheduled after 5 p.m. have been cancelled. Where possible, classes will transition to an online format, and instructors will communicate directly with students regarding any changes or alternative arrangements.

The College will remain closed on Wednesday, June 17. The College is also scheduled to be closed in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday on Thursday, June 18. As Summer hours are currently in effect, the College will remain closed on Friday, June 19. Normal operations will resume on Monday, June 22.

While the campus is closed, Enrollment Support will remain available by phone at 979-230-3000 (option 1) and through GatorBot, the chatbot available at the bottom of every page on the College website. Students can also access myBC Support Guides for assistance with myBC NEXT, class registration, financial aid, scholarships, and other student services.

We will continue to monitor conditions and assess any potential impacts to campus operations. Updates will be communicated as information becomes available through BC email, the College website, and Brazosport College social media channels.

Reminder: MyBC Books opt-out selections reset each semester. Summer I opt-out and unregister deadlines are June 4. The Full Summer (11-week) MyBC Books opt-out deadline is June 22.
