🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

The Gervais Street Bridge, 100-400 Meeting Street, 100-136 Sunset Boulevard, and 100-109 Alexander Road will be closed to traffic on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 7 AM to midnight.

Drivers should use the Jarvis Klapman or Blossom Street Bridges to travel between Columbia and West Columbia during this time.

Brooks Herring is an award-winning songwriter, Nashville recording artist, U.S. Navy veteran, and 2026 SC Military Veterans Hall of Fame inductee. Originally from Conway, he blends country, Southern rock, and blues with the authenticity of lived experience, and he's coming back to the Midlands for a Fall Back Fest you won't want to miss.

Water service is back on for those affected by the F Avenue fire hydrant repair.

A boil water advisory remains in effect for the affected areas. Until the advisory is lifted, please vigorously boil your water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking, and don't use ice made from water that hasn't been boiled. If you see sediment, flush your water until it runs clear, then boil it.

We will notify affected customers when the advisory is lifted. Questions? Call City Hall customer service at (803) 791-1880 (weekdays, 8:30 AM - 5 PM). After hours, weekends, and holidays, call the same number to reach our After Hours Answering Service.

Water service will be interrupted today, October 20, from 9 AM to 5 PM for the following areas:

📍 1241 D Avenue
📍 700 and 800 blocks of 13th Street
📍 1200 and 1300 blocks of F Avenue
📍 1200 block of Evergreen Avenue
📍 800 and 900 blocks of 12th Street
📍 1200 block of Guignard Avenue

If you lose water pressure or notice cloudy water or sediment, boil your water vigorously for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking. Don't use ice made from water that hasn't been boiled. If you see sediment, flush your water until it runs clear, then boil it. The advisory stays in effect until the City lifts it.
