West Leyden Vol. Fire Department

10/28/2026

The West Leyden Fire Department extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Joseph Baker and our brothers and sisters at the Lee Center Volunteer Fire Department.

Our thoughts are with Joe’s loved ones and the entire Lee Center community during this difficult time.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the Lee Center Volunteer Fire Department shares the passing of Life Member and Past Chief, Joseph Baker.

Joe dedicated 39 years of his life to LCFD, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to his department and the community he proudly served. Throughout his many years of service, he exemplified the true meaning of dedication, leadership, and brotherhood.

His contributions to the department, the friendships he built, and the legacy he leaves behind will not be forgotten.

Please keep Joe’s family, friends, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time and as we mourn the loss of one of our own.

Rest in Peace, Joesph Baker.
We will take it from here 💚
