The library is packed full! I actually need a bit of room in it to put out some fun gift bags and reading buddies.

Now is the time to grab a book or 5 as the weather turns colder very soon! Seriously, grab a handful 💁🏼‍♀️

I've been gathering great spooky season books for months to give away at Trick or Treat, and of course we always have candy candy candy, so make sure to stop by Oct 29th!

🦋 HAPPY DOLLY DAY!! 🦋
I feel like I lost a kindred sister when Dolly passed... we both love to give books away. (And we both still are!)
In honor of her, I created this amazing gift basket for a local child with 2 books on Dolly, a butterfly plush, stickers, postcards, pencils, and a custom pressed penny inside a butterfly magnet.
LIKE DOLLY, THERE'S ONLY ONE!!
First person at the library who knows a child who would love it, it's yours.

💗Please note that most of the items in this basket were purchased by me personally. As are some of the books, the bookmarks, trinkets and goodies often in the library. The books in this basket are stamped with my library logo and marked Not for Sale as the library is and always will be non-profit. Donations are welcomed to support the purchase of books, reading buddies and supplies, and can be sent to my venmo . Please mark it as Donation to Matilda LFL.Thank you!! 💗

ALL ABOARD!! In honor of Big Boy 4014 coming through Sunday morning, I've added some great children's train books to the library. There are STACKS of awesome homemade artistic train bookmarks with tassles too!

The Hallmark board book on the bottom has brand new batteries and is one of the coolest interactive storybooks I've ever seen. I almost kept it! 🫣😄

I hope you all get a chance to see Big Boy! There are some interesting youtube videos on its story and restoration too.

Happy Steam Train Weekend!

The bench is back! With a brand new cushion too. I just finished reading Theo of Golden by Allen Levi, and oh my is it a masterpiece. A certain bench plays a big part in the kindness Theo bestows. It seemed an appropriate time to bring back our library bench. 🥰

New bookmarks just made and added:
Patriotic Peanuts/Snoopy
4th of July Gnomes
Trains (the choo choo kind) for the Big Boy 4014 coming through our humble little borough on Sunday, July 12th.

Watch for more patrotic and railroad goodies as we get closer to each day!

Children's, baby, and picture books move fast. If you have any to donate, they can be placed directly in the library. Thank you!!
