West Ouachita Senior Center

We had a spooky fun time at the annual Halloween Costume Contest! Prizes were awarded to Mary Rowland for first place, D’Wayne Davis for second and Debbie Daigle for third. Everyone had fantastic costumes including staff. Our judges, Chief Daniel, Krista, Kirk, and Sabrina needed extra time to deliberate as it was so hard to choose the winners. We appreciate the door prize from Paramount Healthcare and the support of Ms. Judy! Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office always shows up to support our seniors! Happy Halloween!

Nothing makes a Monday better than a little Mahjong! 🀄️💚

Today was the very first Mahjong Monday at the West Ouachita Senior Center, and we loved seeing everyone gather around the tables for some friendly competition, conversation and fun!

Mahjong is a classic tile-based game that brings together strategy, skill and a little bit of luck — making it the perfect addition to the many activities happening each week at our Senior Center. We want to thank our volunteer teachers that worked with each group of players. Your time spent in our class is very appreciated and we're looking forward to more Mahjong!

Couldn’t join us today? We hope to see you for mahjong next Monday at 10 AM!

There’s always something going on at the West Ouachita Senior Center! Whether you’re looking to join an activity, meet new friends, volunteer or find another way to get involved, we’d love to have you be part of this special community.
