🏊 Recreation Swim Opens Saturday, June 6!

Make a splash this summer at the Recreation Center! Enjoy the family leisure pool, splash features, current channel, waterslides, diving boards, and more.

All guests under 18 must have a parent/guardian make an online reservation in advance to complete the waiver and payment before visiting the pool.

🗓️ Recreation Swim Hours

June 6 – July 31
Monday – Thursday: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday: 12:30 – 5:00 p.m.

August 1 – August 30
Saturday/Sunday only: 12:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Swimmers must pass the 25-yard swim test to swim in deep water and use the diving boards. Only Coast Guard-approved life jackets are permitted. Limited life jackets are available for checkout.

Plan ahead, reserve online, and we’ll see you at the pool!

Childcare will be closed this Saturday, May 30th. Regular childcare hours will resume on Monday, June 1st.

The West Sacramento Recreation Center City Hall offices, the Community Center, and City Hall will be closed 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 in observance of Memorial Day.

Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will continue normally. Police and Fire Department patrols and emergency services will continue without interruption.

⚠️ CLOSURE NOTICE: Wednesday lunch lap swim is closed.

Wednesday lunch lap swim will be CLOSED to accommodate River City High School's PE swim unit. With our Leisure Pool heater currently awaiting repairs, their class will need access to the full pool.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Morning and evening lap swim will continue as scheduled. Stay tuned — we'll have an update on Friday's lunch schedule as soon as we know more.

Celebrating Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day, May is Water Safety Month, and spreading the reminder that water safety never takes a day off! Whether you’re on the boat, by the pool, or near the water, wear your life jacket and make safety part of the fun. 🌊☀️

🎾 Heads up, tennis players!

The West Sacramento Recreation Center tennis courts will be temporarily closed **June 6–August 3** for planned renovations in partnership with the Washington Unified School District.

Before the courts close, there are still a few chances to play:

🎾 **Youth Tennis Lessons**
Coach Dave Brooks is back with beginner-friendly youth tennis lessons this May, focused on fundamentals, coordination, and confidence on the court.

🏆 **Demolition Doubles**
Adults and community members are invited to join us on **May 17** for Demolition Doubles, a fun, community-focused event to enjoy the courts one last time before renovations begin.
