Vigilant visited the preschoolers from Vivian’s Little Darlings this morning and showed them some firefighting tools and equipment as part of fire prevention month. Firefighters may look scary with their masks on so showing children in a non-emergent setting that we are here to help may better prepare them in case of an actual emergency. 🧑‍🚒🪓🧯

Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of Wi******er Fire Company, other town of West Seneca dispatchers and the family and friends of Scott Windover.

This morning, members of Vigilant Fire Company along with the Chiefs of Reserve joined forces to assist Ebenezer United Church of Christ with a fire drill in recognition of Fire Prevention Month.

Following the drill, we took the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the church’s layout, identify key areas, and review the locations of the fire alarm panel and subpanel. This hands-on familiarization helps ensure responders are better prepared to respond safely and effectively should an emergency occur at the church.

A special thank you to Rev. Gossel, Pastor Miranda, and Ms. Carole from EUCC for coordinating this opportunity! ⛪️🚒

Three of our EMS providers had the opportunity to attend the EMS World Conference in Orlando, Florida over the past few days!

Between the three of them, they attended over 25 continuing education classes, gaining valuable knowledge and learning about the latest advancements in emergency medical services.

They also had the opportunity to explore a massive expo hall showcasing some of the newest and most improved technologies in EMS, including patient-moving supplies, stretchers, ambulances, medical equipment, and much more.

We’re proud to have members who continue to invest their time and effort into furthering their education and bringing that knowledge back to the community we serve. Our training never stops because neither does our commitment to providing the best care possible. 🚑
