Grandma Roxann’s Little Free Library has taken a back seat in 2026. Many health issues within our family. A few weeks ago, I started paying a little more attention. We still get a lot of walking readers coming through. I’m still having an issue with a couple kids on bikes. They come here just about every day. If the sucker container is full, they take all of them. They make a mess of the books. The latest issue I found was goldfish wrappers left in the bookmark/pencil container. Also goldfish crumbs throughout the library. I have yet to see those kids take a book. This is a little library first. Not a candy store. There is no reason to leave food trash in there. If these kids don’t stop, they will have ruined it for the vast majority who are very respectful. I will take it down. There are many other places I can volunteer my time and money. If these are your children, I would prefer they don’t use it unless they can be responsible patrons. Thank you. 📚📚
