It’s official: former Senator Tom Harkin has endorsed Josh Turek for the United States Senate. What a poetic and beautifully fitting endorsement from the man who fought for the Americans with Disabilities Act to be supporting a candidate whose success in life has only been possible because of that legislation.

I was proud to work for Senator Harkin twice, and I was of course honored to be represented by him. His support for Josh Turek says a lot - Josh will govern with integrity, grit, and heart, just like Tom did. This is a big deal and a meaningful endorsement.

That’s a wrap! From my first session in 2019 to my last adjournment yesterday after nearly 40 hours nonstop, it’s an honor to represent you at the Capitol. Of course I’m disappointed more wasn’t done to help make your life more affordable, despite our introduced legislation to do just that. I’ll never stop fighting for your rights and to make your lives better. I am pleased that this year we were able to make a small dent in addressing water quality, address some of our cancer crisis through radon mitigation and pediatric cancer funding, help small businesses, and other small measures to make a difference. There’s much more to do.
I am still proud to represent you until January, so please continue to reach out so I can help make life better for you if possible. Thank you for the opportunity to represent you!
