👟☀️🏃 Students had a blast during field day! This tradition was started by Don Barnes, who taught PE at Crossroads for 30 years. We dedicated our gym in his honor at the end of the day in a ceremony with his family, including current PE teacher, Don’s son Chad.

👻🧵 Some brave first grade students made monster friends earlier this spring!

An amazing group of Seniors from the Class of 2026 stopped by for Seniors Come Home Day after school today. The visit started with a long overdue 6th grade clap out that was postponed in 2020 due to Covid.

🎉Let’s welcome Assistant Principal Flesch to the Crossroads Park Elementary (WDMCS) Team!
Hunter Flesch has been named assistant principal at Crossroads Park, pending Board of Education approval. Currently an associate principal at Cornell Elementary School in Saydel, Hunter is regarded for his collaborative approach, positive energy, and commitment to student success. His tenure at Crossroads Park will begin July 1, 2026.

West Des Moines Police heard that Crossroads Park is full of students “speeding” past their reading goals! If you speed….you get a ticket! 😁Next week is FAST testing! I have a feeling the officers will be back after we get our testing results back! Way to go Tigers!

Two dates — the last day for Tiger Cubs Preschool and last day for seniors — will go back to the Board for approval at a later date.

Last chance! It's our last meeting of the year and it's going to be a good one. We will have a guest speaker from the Indian Hills parent group (I'm looking at you 6th grade parents), elections for next years board members and approval of our 2026-2027 bylaws. I promise that last part won't take long. Join us Thursday April 23rd at 6:30pm in the Crossroads Library. Everyone is welcome, you don't have to be a member to attend.
