I first posted at 9:00 am on Saturday for our legislative session. Now 19.5 hours later- (4:30 am) we are still at work. In interest of full transparency- more of my Democratic colleagues are still here- but not available for the photo. We are a TEAM - a tired team I might add. Still serving the citizens of Iowa. 💙

Saturday morning at 9:00 am to finish the business of the legislative session. Projecting it to be a 24 hour day. I’m here till the bitter end- that’s what you elected me to do. I will keep you posted throughout the day.

Animal torture has NO place in Iowa. HF 2348 unanimously passed in the Senate today. It uplifted the consequences from a misdemeanor to a felony. I thought of you today my dear beloved late fur baby I lovingly call Faith. 🐶🐶🥰

Today I attended a most impactful memorial service for those workers that lost their lives during the course of doing their jobs. We must continue to lift up the importance of worker safety measures. May each of them Rest In Eternal PEACE. 💙💙🙏🏾
