Born in Colombia, Moreno immigrated to the United States with his family at age 5 and proudly became an American citizen at 18 years old — he did it legally. A successful entrepreneur and unwavering pro-life advocate, Moreno earned the endorsement of President Trump and made headlines in 2024 by defeating a longtime Democratic incumbent, Sherrod Brown, who had held the Senate seat since 2006.

IFFC’s Spring Kickoff once again lived up to its reputation — not only as a political rally but as a meaningful evening of fellowship and shared purpose. As always, the event served as a vibrant space to connect, reflect, and advance the mission of faith-based activism in public life. Attendees included many of the state’s most prominent conservative leaders, concerned citizens, activists, dedicated volunteers, and enthusiastic political enthusiasts. Additionally, many of Iowa’s elected officials were present.
