Last week, Cumberland Strategies was fortunate to be a part of Minister visit to Connections of Canada’s Ridge facility. Minister Piccini announced the government’s commitment to reduce emissions from landfills by 2030 as Waste Connections announced a $50 million facility to convert landfill emissions to Renewable Natural Gas.
These announcements are a premier example of businesses and governments working towards the same goal of reducing emissions by creating value from GHG-producing waste, like organics.
